I enjoy sharing my love of language, grammar, literature, history, mythology and philosophy. I hope to find quirky ways to give insights into the ancient world and its impact on the present.
I have taught Latin, Ancient Greek, classical studies and English for twenty years. For many years, I taught beginners to Common Entrance at Hall Grove prep school in Surrey.
I tutor at GCSE, A-level and university level; as well as scholarships to top schools, students have gained entry to Cambridge and other top universities.
I also teach Creative Writing at University of Portsmouth, specialising in general fiction, journalism and travel writing. I have taught English as a Foreign Language in Brazil, Italy and the UK, from beginners to proficiency level.
