I am an enthusiastic teacher who delights in seeing progress in her students. With my many years of teaching subjects of Music, Law and English, I have been able to see successful results from my students. As a musician, I have had the opportunity to perform in an orchestra as well as solo. As a classroom teacher, encouraging students to engage in debate and the reading of literature has seen successful learning take place.
I have been teaching for more than 20 years in the subject of music, which consists of playing the piano, playing the descant recorder and music theory for students who need to pass the ABRSM practical and music theory exams. My methods used in teaching include teaching online, face to face and in groups where possible. Students are expected to practise after each lesson for the next lesson. As a result, I have had a 100% pass rate in music exams as a result.
I have also taught the subject of English for over 20 years face to face as well as online and this has also been successful. This has been taught on a one to one basis or in groups, although groups have been taught face to face. Students are given homework to complete after each lesson and constructive feedback is given on their performance each time. There have also been good news of successful exam passes where students have studied consistently.
I have also taught the subject of Law the same amount of years face to face as well as online and this has also been successful. This has been taught on a one to one basis and in groups. Setting homework as well as giving constructive feedback has also been part of the learning.
