I am a qualified English teacher with a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning. By sharing my passion for English, I love enabling students to achieve their academic goals, and develop their confidence in this subject.
I was educated in New Zealand but I have a strong grasp of the British curriculum, having spent one year in schools here.
My lessons are creative and diverse, and I adapt my planning and teaching based on the needs of each individual student.
I have two years teaching experience in mainstream schools, in both London and New Zealand.
During this time, I taught a vast range of academic abilities, meaning I can support lower achieving students and extend those achieving highly.
While I was studying to become a teacher I tutored students with dyslexia. This equipped me with strategies to effectively teach students with learning difficulties and engage and encourage students with low confidence in their abilities.
I have completed a 120hr TEFL course and I have 6 months experience teaching English language to 6 international students.
