I am Petros Stathatos, a professional musician and guitar tutor based in London covering many different genres from pop-rock to hard rock, blues, funk, jazz and fusion.
My lessons include fine-tuning of favourite songs, helping to develop stylistic diversity and advanced instrument techniques. Advanced popular and jazz theory and harmony, sight reading and ear training are also included in the lessons.
Lessons are designed to suit each individual student's preferences and needs for musical improvement, meeting University of West London tuition standards.
As a tutor I am also helping students to prepare for exams (RGT Grades, Rock School, etc.)
After teaching the guitar and music theory for 5 years in JCM Music School (2014-2019), I am currently a guitar tutor at Marie De Bry Arts Academy teaching students of all ages from beginners to intermediate and the more advanced, adding to my 10 years' experience as a gigging musician.
I have also graduated from BIMM London (2017) where I was awarded with a Music Bachelor Degree, while before I was studying music and taking guitar lessons for another 8 years in my hometown Athens (Musical Praxis Conservatory & National Conservatory of Athens, Greece).
Over this period in my career, I have attended lessons with some of the finest masters of the instrument like John Wheatcroft, Les Davidson, Jim Clark and have gained recognition following masterclasses with Nile Rodgers, Frank Gambale, Larry Carlton, Vinnie Moore, Mike Stern, Oz Noy, Adam Wakeman, Gerry Leonard, Duff McKagan, Yolanda Charles and Nick Mason among others.
