I am a highly experienced Maths tutor with over 8 years of experience in one-to-one lessons. I graduated as an Electrical Engineer and later completed a postgraduate diploma as a teacher. I am patient, supportive, and devoted to passing on my knowledge and my own enthusiasm in mathematics to my students. I also have a passion for music, and I play classical guitar. I really enjoy hiking, cycling or in a good book when I have some extra time.
In my work, I focus on discovering the students’ individual difficulties and guide them in looking for solutions. Together we develop a thorough understanding of the mathematical issue. As a result, the students achieve a solid foundation in mathematical reasoning and problem-solving.
In the initial lesson, I usually assess the students to get a grasp of their abilities and weaknesses in order to develop a suitable strategy and prepare appropriate teaching materials. For the ongoing lessons, I intend to supplement the regular school classes, approaching the various subjects from different angles, aiming to make maths more engaging.
In the last 15 months right after moving to London, I have worked as a mathematics tutor as part of Local Teachers, mainly providing one-to-one support and small group lessons. I am also part of the Kenton Learning Centre, where I am involved in teaching Functional Skills Maths to adult learners. Mostly I am working as a self-employed tutor covering KS2 - up to A level maths. Previously, I have worked in several private educational centers teaching mathematics and classical guitar.
