I had always been good at maths. My future career was determined by my high school professor of mathematics, that actually encouraged me to study maths at a university level, which I did. My best friend in university and I happened to share the same passion for teaching as it later came up to teach at KS3 Level in complementary private sessions. Recently, I served as a Mathematics Volunteer for several years in a primary setting, where I was practising for a placement in my childcare course. It was until a GCSE student came up looking for help that I was given the opportunity to apply all my skills and experience acquired in the previous years, which led to her scoring so high in her final exam. I have both a love for children and a passion for their learning. I strive to identify each individual's strengths and weaknesses. I believe that students that come to me can succeed to the extent that we work closely together and communicate any special needs at any time, while - at the same time- making each session as enjoyable as possible. I'm willing to travel around the area of Portadown and charge very friendly prices.
My major is Mathematics. My degree comes from the University of Athens, Greece, one of the most renowned schools of mathematics. I have in addition a Level 2 Award in Children's Care, Learning and Development from SRC. I have worked with one of the best primary schools in Portadown as a Classroom Assistant for several years. I have a recent experience of a GCSE student that I was tutoring maths and she succeeded very well in her final exams. I believe in the importance of methodology, revision and work with practical worksheets that follow up every other session with my student. I have a passion to inspire my students, challenge and stretch their capabilities. I prepare every session meticulously. I believe maths can be fun as well.
