Learning is a lifelong journey. It is not merely an academic exercise; opportunities for development are all around us every day. I pride myself in inspiring others to enjoy acquiring knowledge of the world, as I do. I strongly believe in, and aim to instill, the achievement of academic excellence in my students through their enjoyment of the sciences. I achieve this by turning everyday instances into learning opportunities and harnessing their personal interests as vectors for more formal study. I have extensive experience of teaching A level biology, International Baccalaureate diploma in biology, GCSE and IGCSE chemistry, biology, physics, Double award and General science. I also teach KS2 and KS3 science.
After training to teach via Teach First in 2012, I taught KS3 and GCSE in UK schools for three years before moving to Singapore and becoming Head of Science at an International School. There, I taught KS3 and IGCSE science and IB biology for three years.
Since returning to the UK, I have become a private tutor and love working 1:1 with students in these subjects.. I have helped students at or gain admission to some elite schools in the UK, including Merchant Taylors’ School, St. Paul’s Girls’ School, City of London School for Boys, Francis Holland School, Whitgift School, Highgate School and Bedales School.
In my spare time, I also work part-time as an Educational consultant for a school based in China, helping students to achieve the very best outcomes in the British curriculum.
