I lived in Spain on the Costa Blanca for sixteen years where I had the opportunity to interact with native speakers, which enabled me to speak the language with fluency. During this time I taught at an International Language School in Spain and decided to return to the UK to further my knowledge of the language, where I was educated at Rugby School, Warwickshire and after A-Levels, read Spanish to degree level.
After moving back to the UK, I attended the University of Chester for three years to read Spanish, where I graduated and now living and working in the UK on a permanent basis. I have over ten years of teaching experience and I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Individual lessons can be arranged and tailored for those pupils who are taking their GCSE and A-Level examinations and require further assistance. Usually, I work in conjunction with the pupil’s school teacher, in order to concentrate on those particular areas that are proving difficult.
I have been teaching for over 10 years, both in the private sector of education, as well as in primary and secondary schools throughout Spain and the UK.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and have coached many students who have applied to Oxford and Cambridge to read Spanish at degree level.
I have great knowledge of the main examination bodies in the UK such as AQA, OCR and Edexcel and have carried out many GCSE oral speaking exams in secondary schools as well as marking these exams.
