My name is Carl Cassidy. I am totally passionate about life and the fact that I have a responsibility to make people happy through the higher gift that’s called music!!
I started music as soon as I could stand up singing back my dad practicing Bruch’s violin concerto! ( all of my family are professional musicians)and from then on I relished being part of an atmosphere constantly brimming with music playing and exploration.
I was sent to Purcell School of Music as a Scholar at the age of 16 and then studied as a Scholar at Royal College of Music. I then studied Jazz at Berkeley College Boston USA and entered the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s one year postgraduate Jazz course which was awesome!
I have an amazing wife Valeria (originally Moscow and a piano teacher) and six amazing children all of whom play their first study and piano as a second study.
As can be seen in my attached CV I currently work as clarinet saxophone and piano professor at the Centre For Young Musicians in London on Saturdays and St Anne’s Settlement Vauxhall every Monday as well as at the Salem Music Academy in Peckham every Monday evenings. I also with wife homeschool our children and teach privately. Since graduating in 1995 I have been performing and teaching all around the Uk ( from Buckingham Oalace and the BBC Proms, Shepherds Bush Empire with Ike Turner and Birdland NYork with the Duke Ellington Big Band as a performer to Norfolk Music Council and Guildhall Summer Schiol as a tutor to name but a few!!)
